Als ich dem Maestro Rolf Horn begegnet bin, wurde ich augenblicklich durch seine herausragende Persönlichkeit in jene intime Welt eingefangen, in der eine Sensibilität am Rande der Dramatik eines hart und schmerzvollen Erlebten ihre „Narben“ hinterlassen hat, die mit der Zeit zwar verblasst, aber nicht ausradiert ist. Dieses ganze Bündel an Lebenserfahrungen teilt Rolf uns aus vollen Händen durch seine Kunst mit.

Die Neugierde, das ist eine weitere seiner Eigenschaften und demzufolge ergeben sich Fragen, Fragen Fragen. Fragen, die er sich selbst stellt, auf die er nicht die einfachsten Antworten zu finden sucht, sind durch die Kunst der Malerei und, was noch schwieriger ist, durch das „Schnitzen“ zu übersetzen.

Perfekt eingebunden in die objektive Stütze, wo das Holz als plastischer Untergrund dient, leben seine Skulpturen, jede für sich einmalig, in einem fortwährenden Beben des Wachsens und überschwänglicher Begegnungen.

Das Material, das er für seine Werke bevorzugt, ist das Holz, das Olivenholz, ein Material, das aufgrund seiner Natur lebendig ist.

Das Werk, das wir für wirklich bedeutend halten, ist die „Viola d’Amore“, geschaffen eben aus seinem Lieblingsmaterial und die, nur indem man sie betrachtet, uns lebendige Emotionen übermittelt.

Was zählt, ist die Empfindung der sich ausdehnenden Weltlichkeit, die in sich immer dazu neigt, sich nach vorne auszustrecken, neuen Raum zu konzipieren.

Wo befindet sich der Meister während seines Schaffens?

Er befindet sich im Innersten seiner Skulpturen, in ihrem Schaffensprozess, der unaufhaltsam und konstruktiv , keinesfalls in betriebsamer oder berechnender Absicht angelegt ist, sondern in poetischen Kompositionen aus geistigen Bildern, inmitten eines für den sensiblen Rythmus der Klangfarben offenen musikalischen Raumes, reich an solchen Akzenten und Klängen, die spontan aus den Formen in der freien Entfaltung des Lichtes innerhalb des kraftvollen Atems der Natur entspringen.

Es ist jene geliebte Natur, die Rolf sucht und in seiner Oase der Unbeschwertheit des Glückes lebt, umgeben von der Liebe seiner Lebensgefährtin. Sein Antrieb ist ohne Zweifel ein humanistischer Diskurs, gewaltig wie die Tiefe des Unterbewusstseins des Menschen. Die weitreichende und entschiedene Gestik der Bildhauerhand spricht von einem Temperament, das nicht gebremst werden kann, es springt empor, jenseits von Hürden, ohne Einhalt und ohne Meinungsänderung.

In ihm existiert eine genaue Kenntnis einer ausdrucksbetonten und geistigen Detailanalyse, die jedem seiner Werke eine absolute und unverfälschte Eigenart garantiert. Da sieht man geradezu das dunkle Pulsieren der jahrtausendealten Menschheitsgeschichte, es ist dort verborgen im Hinterhalt, bereit sich zu offenbaren, je nach Gefühl und Ergriffenheit, die der Betrachter an den Tag legt.

Diese Werke haben für viele Tage zuvor seine Phantasie in Besitz genommen

und führen demzufolge zu dem unbändigen Wunsch des Künstlers, das freizulegen, was jahrelang dort unten in der Tiefe seiner Seele verborgen war, in jener Ader, die unerreichbar zu sein schien. So befinden wir uns heute vor der Reinheit eben dieses Zustandes, der endlich zu einer begreifbaren Welt geworden ist.

Es ist jetzt an der Zeit, Rolf als Maler zu entdecken.

Wenngleich er der althergebrachten Technik - die der Ernst seines Vorhabens mit sich bringt (impliziert) - treu geblieben ist, hat sich der Künstler in einer völlig eigenen Kompositionskraft weiter entwickelt. Er hat ganz gewöhnliche Sujets lebendig und pulsierend werden lassen, die Lebenselixier erhalten haben, die sich im lyrischen Sinne über den Blickwinkel ihrer eigenen Wirklichkeit hin ausdrücken.

Eine Wirklichkeit voller Nervenkitzel und Träume, Leidenschaften, die die innerste Welt seiner künstlerischen Inspiration bevölkern. An der Basis seiner sinnbildlichen Darstellungen entdecken wir genaueste Inhalte im Hinblick auf die tatsächliche, objektive Wirklichkeit, die fortwährend seine kreative Phantasie anregt.

                                                                                                                                                            Die allgemeine Struktur jeder Darstellung ist stets eingebunden in einen malerischen Raum, dessen Ebenen sachkundig hervorgehoben sind durch den konstruktiven Einfluss der farblichen Tiefen. Es ist eine Realität, die die dynamische Erfindung der Naturidee wieder aufgreift, gekennzeichnet durch eine Ausstrahlung an innerer Freiheit. Sie schenkt offenen Überschwang.

Eine Welt an versteckten und überschäumenden Sinneseindrücken offenbart sich, von unerwarteten Erscheinungen, in denen die Empfindung zwischen der Mensch-Natur-Beziehung geschärft ist, wo der Ausdruck mit Eingebung und Gefühl kein Vorrecht aller Künstler ist, sondern nur derer, die Kunstfertigkeit und poetisch-malerische Eingebung besitzen.

Nichts wird dem Zufall überlassen, im Gegenteil, Rolf arbeitet in wohlüberlegter Hinsicht und bringt eine poetische Dosis an Inbrunst zurück in die Welt.

PRESENTAZIONE DI ROLF HORN

Quando ho incontrato la prima volta il maestro Rolf, ho subito catturato, dalla sua spiccata personalità, quell'intimo mondo dove alberga una sensibilità al limite della drammaticità di un vissuto duro e doloroso che ha lasciato le sue "cicatrici" che con il tempo sono sì, sbiadite, ma non cancellate. Tutto questo bagaglio di esperienze di vita, Rolf ce le comunica a piene mani attraverso la sua arte. La curiosità. Ecco un'altra sua caratteristica e, quindi, domande, domande, domande. Domande che lui fa a sé stesso, alle quali cerca di dare risposte non facili, da tradurre attraverso l`arte del dipingere e, cosa ancora più difficile, dello "scolpire". Perfettamente integrato nel supporto oggettuale che funge da piano plastico, le sue sculture vivono ognuna irripetibile in un continuo fremito di crescita e di incontri esaltanti. La materia che predilige, per le sue opere, è il legno, il legno d'olivo, materiale vivo per sua natura. L'opera che riteniamo veramente importante è la "viola d'amore", creata proprio con il suo materiale preferito e che solo guardandola ci comunica vive emozioni. Ciò che conta è il senso della temporalità espansiva che in essa tende sempre a protendersi in avanti, a concentrare nuovi spazi. Sul piano operativo dove sta il Maestro? Egli sta nell'intimo delle sue sculture, nel loro prodursi, incessante e costruttivo e non in un intento industrioso o calcolatore, bensì in poetiche composizioni di immagini mentali in aperto spazio musicale per il sensibile accordo dei timbri, degli accenti e dei suoni che scaturiscono spontaneamente dalle forme che nascono nel libero evolversi della luce dentro il possente respiro della natura. Quella natura che Rolf ama, cerca e condivide in quella sua oasi di serenità, felicità, circondato dall'amore della compagna della sua vita. Il suo è decisamente un discorso umanistico, inteso come svisceramento del subconscio dell'uomo. Il gesto ampio e deciso della mano scultorea parla di un temperamento al quale è impossibile porre un freno: egli balza, al di là dell'ostacolo, senza esitazione e senza pentimenti. Vi è in lui la precisa conoscenza di un'anatomia espressiva e spirituale, che garantisce ad ognuna delle sue opere la più assoluta e genuina originalità. Ecco che lo scuro pulsare della storia millenaria dell'uomo è lì dietro, in agguato, pronto a svelarsi secondo il sentimento e la commozione dello spettatore. Queste opere, per tanti giorni hanno occupato la sua immaginazione, oggettivando una prorompente volontà di fare e che ci introducono, dunque, ad un desiderio dell'artista, rimasto per anni laggiù, in fondo alla sua anima, in quella miniera che poteva sembrare irraggiungibile. Così, oggi, ci troviamo di fronte alla purezza di questo desiderio divenuto, finalmente, un mondo tangibile. Giunge adesso il momento di scoprire il Rolf pittore. Pur restando fedele ad una base tradizionale che sottintende la serietà del suo impegno, l'artista si evolve in un vigore compositivo del tutto personale, rendendo vivi e palpitanti anche i soggetti più comuni che acquistano linfa vitale per esprimere, liricamente, in aspetti trascendenti il loro reale. Un reale con brividi emotivi e sogni, passioni che popolano l'intimo mondo della sua ispirazione artistica. Alla base delle sue allegoriche figurazioni, rinveniamo precisi contenuti alla concreta realtà oggettiva che, costantemente, sollecita la sua fantasia creativa. La struttura generale di ciascuna figurazione è sempre inserita in uno spazio pittorico organizzato per piani efficacemente rilevati dalla incidenza costruttiva dei fondi cromatici. Una realtà che recupera l´invenzione dinamica dell´idea di natura, caratterizzata da una carica di libertà interiore. Da uno slancio aperto. Un mondo di sensazioni segrete e dirompenti, di apparizioni improvvise dove è acuto il senso del rapporto tra il rapporto uomo-natura, dove esprimere con estro ed emozione, non è una prerogativa di tutti gli artisti, ma soltanto di coloro che possiedono manualità ed ispirazione poetico-pittorica. Nulla è lasciato al caso, anzi Rolf opera in una chiave meditata, riuscendo a portare alla ribalta, una dose lirica di pathos.

Perfectly integrated in the support object that acts as a plastic floor, his sculptures each unique living in a constant tremor of growth and exciting encounters. The subject prefers, for his work, is the wood, olive wood, living material in nature. The work that we consider very important is the "viola d'amore," created with his own favorite material and that only tells us looking strong emotions. What matters is the expansive sense of temporality that it tends to stretch out on, to focus new spaces. At the operational level is where the Master? He is in the depths of his sculptures, produced in their ceaseless and constructive and not in an industry or purpose computer, but in poetic compositions of mental images in open space for the significant agreement of the musical timbres, accents and sounds that flow forms that arise spontaneously in the free evolution of the light inside the powerful breath of nature. That nature which Rolf loves, and shares in the search for an oasis of serenity, happiness, surrounded by the love of his life partner. His is definitely a humanist discourse, understood as the evisceration of the human subconscious. The sweeping gesture of his hand and decided sculpture speaks of a temperament which is impossible to put a stop: he jumps, beyond the obstacle, without hesitation and without regret. There is in him the precise knowledge of anatomy and spiritual expression, which guarantees to each of his works the most complete and authentic originality. That's the dark pulse of ancient history of man back there, lurking, ready to unfold according to the feeling and emotion of the viewer. These works, for so many days have occupied his imagination, objectifying an irrepressible desire to do and that leads us, therefore, a desire, remaining there for years, in the depths of his soul, in that mine that seemed unreachable . So today we are faced with the purity of this desire now, at last, a tangible world. Now comes the time to discover the artist Rolf. While remaining faithful to a traditional base that underscores the seriousness of its commitment, the artist develops into a compositional force of all staff, making it alive and vibrant even those who buy the most common life-blood to give, lyrically, in the transcendent aspects they are real. A real chills and emotional dreams, passions that populate the inner world of his artistic inspiration. At the base of his allegorical figures, found precise content to the concrete objective reality that constantly urges his creative imagination. The general structure of each figure is always included in a pictorial space organized to plan effectively detected by the impact of construction funds colors.
